Well, I think I am already a follower. So my PRO feedback is that at home styling is super relaxed and comfortable. You can just sit back and feel at home. The CON is that it can sometimes take longer because there are kids there, so you tend to have to stop and take care of them ( not YOU personally, just as a home stylist with kids in general )

I love my Biolage by the way : )

OK So I am just going to say this FYI first, If I win this don't ship this to me! Keep until my next AZ visit (probably in the next couple months!)

Anyway, Pro's about in-home stylist is cost for me, generally it's more reasonable since the stylist doesn't need to split her commission with the salon.
Con- Hair washing in a kitchen sink.. not quite the same experience, but worth it if your saving a little money and getting a good outcome. :)

I'm so proud of you kick starting your business so well and getting all the clientele you already have! That's awesome!

I just found out how to become a follower! YAY! The pro of doing hair at home is probably the convience. For you the hair stylist, you don't have to commute and get to do your thing in the comfort of your own home! You know where everything is and its easy access. The con would be that because you are at home, there can be alot of other distractions. I feel that it is hard to be at home and focus on one thing knowing that there are a few others things that can get done. Then sometimes the appointment takes longer. I think you are doing such a great job and I love coming over!

Oooh I love Biolage! And I'm already a follower :)
Pro- I don't feel like I have to dress up or look cute to get my hair done like I would at a salon, I just get to come see you and you don't care what I look like!
Con- I was gonna say standing and bending my head over a sink, but with that new chair, you're good! And another one would probably just be that it takes a little longer. But I'm good with that

Pro- I get to catch up and chit chat with someone qualified that I like and trust in the comfort of her home, plus the cost is defiantly in my price range!
Con- I don't have one, I can honestly tell you for what I paid I didn't mind leaning over a sink one little bit, and I would have spent just as much time in a salon waiting on my stylist who was double booked instead of waiting on your adorable children. Plus what salon holds on to your sunglasses forever? sorry!

I love Biolage Conditioning Balm...I use it every day!

I'm probably not the best to do pros/cons, because I only ever get my hair done in a home by my sister! And I think it's so great to do that!

Pro: Convenience. Times are more flexible.

Cons: Distractions at home (kids, phones, etc). However, I think most home based stylists know how to go into "work mode" and "mommy mode".

Pros: You come to my house. :)
Gigantor is relaxed because it's an atmosphere he is comfortable with.
I can call and get in to see you within a few days (I'm so last minute!!).
Your prices are super reasonable because you have less overhead.
I can borrow clothes out of your closet when I come. :)

Cons: I am really having a hard time with this...
since you usually come to my house to do my color, I don't have to lean over a sink. ;)
I never feel like you are distracted. I actually see my chance to hold Mack while you are doing my hair as a "pro".

I guess it would be not "getting away" from my life for a little bit to be pampered and be able to read a magazine while my hair is processing.

I am already a follower and my thoughts are that: as long as I have one I trust I love an in-home salon. I dont have kids yet but if I did that certianly makes it easier as well as just an overall more relaxed vibe. Sometimes you go into a hair salon that is so intimidating you can't even enjoy the process.

Pro: Usually more budget-friendly and can get an appointment sooner.

Con: Usually takes longer because at a salon all of the products and appliances are set up all the time ready to use and the hair dryer speeds processing time and there aren't distractions. And you miss the feeling of going to a salon (I personally like the feel of going to a salon and feeling pampered and fancy)

Okay, for some reason my comment didn't go through. Any how, here are my thoughts...

Pro: It's usually more "cost effective"!

Con: It's easy to get distracted by kids or neighbors stopping by, etc. Either way, I'd still rather go to an in-home salon ANY day!

i used to work in a salon, and I really didn't like all of the gossip that I had to listen to everyday from all of the stylists and their clients! So I have only gone to in home stylists since then, and I really like that so much better! It is a more comfortable atmosphere, and especially when it is one of your friends who is cutting your hair! So those are the pros and cons that came to mind. :)
